Backpacks come in a variety of shapes and sizes and for many different uses, I feel there are two basic styles of backpacks, traditional-two strap packs and the newer sling pack utilizing one strap. Two-strap packs can usually carry more weight and are more comfortable when doing so. One-strap sling packs carry lighter weights but are handier since you can swing your pack around the front of your body to get access to your gear, works great for concealed carry. Since the concealed carry option is important to me I will focus on those packs that are setup for this option, but these packs can also be utilized if you do not carry concealed.
