Quick Product Overview:
The Oxpho Blue Liquid, a gun bluing solution used to impart a protective blue-black finish on gun parts. Originally developed for the occasional bluer who is not equipped to completely polish a gun prior to bluing, Oxpho Blue – because of its ease of application and remarkably superior results – has become a favorite of the professional gunsmith as well. The chemical goes through the oil on the gun, removes thin rust and blues the steel underneath. No after-rust. For looks, the final finish was not intended to approach the beauty of the well-polished, hot-blued gun but it is very close.

What I Like About This Product
I have tried other brands of bluing and they have not worked for me. But this one worked great for me. I looked on YouTube as saw some videos about cold bluing prior to using this product, and many of them were about this specific product and they mentioned the best way to apply this product. The key is to use 0000 steel wool to lightly texture the surface and then to use it on the final coat to smooth out the final appearance of the bluing.
The first step is to degrease the surface using isopropyl alcohol, then use 0000 steel wool on that area to be blued. Then use a Q-tip or cotton swab to apply the Oxpho Blue Liquid to the area needing bluing. Make sure to put 2 o3 coats of the solution on to darken the blue color, Each new coat should be a new Q-tip so you do not contaminate the solution. Take your steel wool and lightly rub the treated area to smooth-out the color. Then let the solution have some time to react with the metal surface. Next wipe the area down with a towel and some water to neutralize the liquid. Lastly, get a cotton patch and wipe the area down with some gun oil, be liberal with the oils and let it soak for a while. The result is a deep blue-black finish that is highly durable and long-lasting. If it is not dark enough then repeat the process.
So after all that, what I like about this product is the end result, it worked great and looks fantastic. Yes it takes some work but if you follow these steps you will have some great results.
What I Would Change About This Product:
Not a thing!
Final Remarks:
So you might ask why I am reviewing gun bluing solution? If you have a firearm as part of your everyday carry items then you may have areas on your handgun finish that has been rubbed off due to holster wear. For this reason, this product is therefore critical. If you are like me, you like your handguns to look nice and without worn spots of finish gone. So I highly recommend this product, but please keep in mind not all metal react the same ways, some take the bluing easily and some do not. If you try this product and do not get good result please contact me and let’s talk.

. This holster is designed to go over the top of your vest, jacket or other outer garment. so once you get it adjusted, it fits like a glove. Unlike a shoulder holster you should not trim the excess straps to fit because depending on the season and your layers under the harness may change. The holster holds your handgun very securely and is in a position that you can get to it very easily. This is a holster that works well in most all outdoor activities, I use it when hiking, backpacking, fishing, hunting, horseback riding, 4-wheeler riding, farm chores to name a few.
and keeps your handgun in a place that is easy to get to. I use this holster with my Glock 30 (.45ACP) and Glock 20 (10mm), and the nice thing is all you need to do is buy a new shell for each caliber handgun, one harness will work with all the different shells. My favorite use for this holster is backpacking, You just put on this chest holster and then put on your backpack and you are ready to go. When you get to a resting place just remove your backpack and your handgun stays where it needs to be. I always had a difficult time figuring out where to put my handgun when backpacking and then being able to get to it when you needed to or taking off your backpack and off came your handgun too. Another plus about this chest holster is that it is
