Cold Steel makes some awesome knives, they have a full-size version called the SRK (10 3/4″ overall. 6″ blade) and now you can get almost all the performance of the SRK in a substantially shorter, lighter, and thinner package. Designed expressly for those who want or need a low-profile fixed blade. The SRK compact is almost a mirror image of its big brother with all the features you have to come to expect. Supplied with a super sturdy Secure-Ex sheath it is very lightweight and should last for years.

What I Like About This Product:
This knife is constructed very well and seems to hold a fine edge. It is comfortable in your hand and does not seem to create any hot spots after extended use. The SRKC works great as an EDC knife and yet is big enough to find multiple uses. The sheath is constructed very well and holds the knife in place very well.
What I Would Change About This Product:
While I like the sheath, I would like to make one modification to it. The lower plastic sheath is great but I do not like the nylon upper portion, as seen in the picture.
I am going to remove the upper nylon webbing portion and install a TEK-LOK, or a rigid belt loop of some kind and that will work better for me. The sheath holds the knife very well and I do not like nylon webbing on a knife sheath or the nylon snap fastener that holds the handle in place. I like my belt fasteners to be rigid and not move around when they are on my belt.
Final Remarks:
I saw the knife on the YouTube channel, Survival on Purpose, and thought it was pretty cool. Do I need another knife – NO but I am glad I got it. It is a great-sized knife and works really well for a good basic EDC knife. It came with a decent edge on it but after touching it up with my ceramic steel it is now an outstanding edge. If you want a knife that is a good all-around knife, you need to check this SRK Compact out, you will not be sorry.
